Ahmad Tahir

Multan, Pakistan

Ahmad Tahir is an Architect and currently a student in urban studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn. He received his bachelor’s  degree in Architecture Design from the National College of Arts, Lahore. Ahmad’s research sheds light on the relationship between cities and human beings and the rich networks in which the systems of cities operate and focuses more on  the loss of tangible and intangible heritage practices and assets due to rampant commercialization of residential zones in the inner city. Anna Pederzini

Trento, Italy

Anna Pederzini is a student at the University of Ferrara, Architecture department. She is in Estonia attending Urban Studies program for her Erasmus period. During her studies she is exploring all topics that are related to buildings and cities, from technological to urban scale, searching which is her main interest to develop her thesis next year. Egemen Mercanlioglu

IStanbul, Turkey

Egemen is a master’s student in urban studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political sciences. He had his first master’s degree in sociology from the Galatasaray University where he worked on the urban transformation and its influence on resident’s everyday life. EMILIE

Emilie Rážová

Teplice, Czech Republic

Emilie is a fourth year bachelor's student of architecture at Technical University in Liberec, Faculty of Arts and Architecture. Rather than designing architectural forms she likes to explore how human perceives different spaces corporally. She tries to present the thoughts through experimenting with medias like animation, photography or sculpting. She is at Estonian Academy of Arts as an Erasmus student for one semester. Lisa Rohrer

Virginia, United States of America

Lisa is a master’s student in urban studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts. She earned her bachelor’s degree in media studies and American studies from the University of Virginia, where she concentrated in visual and popular culture. Before moving to Estonia, Lisa managed print and communications materials for a non-profit organization and spent one year studying transportation, urban design, and placemaking in Virginia and in Amsterdam. Marina Puškar

Tallinn, Estonia

Marina is a master’s student in urban studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Her background involves semiotics and cultural studies as well as over seven years of experience as a newspaper photographer. Zahaan Khan

Kashmir, India

Zahaan is a first year masters student in urban studies program in Estonian Academy of Arts. He received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University of Mumbai (India) in 2014, where his thesis was based around the socio-cultural influence on architecture in the valley of Kashmir. Before starting his masters, Zahaan worked as an architect for over five years, designing and managing various architectural and interior design projects. Having worked on a mass housing project, Zahaan developed a keen interest in urban planning and decided to pursue his interest and explore further possibilities in the field of urban studies.View project: Restoration Priorities
